 Mother's Day is getting closer. Every second Sunday in May, it takes place. This is one of the most important times to express gratitude to them. It's a simple gesture of respect and thanks towards them. There is no need for extravagant presents; a simple kiss on the cheek is always plenty. It is the only day set aside to express thanks for their bravery. The love of a mother is as sweet as candy. It feels like a campfire in the middle of a starry night. It is indestructible, irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind, and so much more that words can't express. It's the kind of love that only your one and only mother can provide. That it is, without a doubt, one of the greatest loves of all. Our affection for our mother will last till the end of time. A child's link with his or her mother is unshakable.   The third quarter is almost over; the month is almost up.  I was really excited to see what we were going to do this quarter. We are grateful to Mrs. Evelyn Reyes-Vera Cruz, our ict instructor, despite the fact that we are self-taught. In the third quarter, I learnt a lot, including how to arrange Community-Based Research (CBR). After hearing CBR, it's difficult to learn it, but I'm not dissatisfied; instead, I'm looking forward to a new challenge in my life. In terms of my problems, I've experienced a couple of them in the first week. I'm curious why, as a sort of research, we're studying Community-Based Research this quarter. Furthermore, because you must obtain proof on the issue, conducting research is difficult and time-consuming.   The "Araw ng Kagitingan" is a national holiday in the Philippines that is observed every year on April 9th. But this day also marks the start of the Bataan Death March, a 101-kilometer march from Capas, Tarlac to San Fernando, Pampanga, for 75,000 courageous American and Filipino soldiers. Thousands of American and Filipino soldiers died in this crucial WWII incident. Many courageous American and Filipino troops were killed by the Japanese Army on this day. 75,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war were forced to march from Capas, Tarlac to San Fernando, Pampanga by the Japanese Army. Thousands of malnourished and mistreated captives were forced to march to a prison camp during the Death March. Only 54,000 captives made it to the camp, with up to 10,000 dying in the process and some escaping into the forest. The Japanese army tortured many of these courageous men, but it didn't stop them from continuing on. Many people perished, but many more lived to tell the story...

It's supposed to be a period of repentance and growth in one's relationship with God. This is a period of preparation and a chance to get closer to God. During Lent, individuals focus on three key things: prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, or charity. During Lent, we pray for God's forgiveness and for the forgiveness of others, as well as for the forgiveness of our sins and the kindness and love of God. Fasting is a popular Lent ritual that many people follow. The concept is to sacrifice something that is a daily component of life, such as eating. Fasting helps us build spiritual power, such as the ability to resist temptation, self-mastery, and discipline. The Ilocano people celebrate the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival every year. The Ilocano people celebrate the founding of the province of Ilocos Sur through this event. This festival allows Ilocanos to honor and appreciate the province's many cultures and customs. The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is held in the month of February every year. The event is traditionally started off by a mass at St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral. The people of Ilocos Sur will be able to express their gratitude to The almighty God for the province's rich culture and foundation through this holy liturgy. We may still be in the midst of the epidemic, but it won't stop us from honoring my fellow Ilocanos' rich and wonderful culture and customs. This epidemic will genuinely bring us together as a people to not only celebrate our culture, but also to overcome whatever problems we may encounter, such as the present pandemic.
